The line traces its antecedents as long ago as the time of Rome’s glory and proudly boasts a wide mix of nationalities. The maternal family originates from Germany and Scotland. His father’s family, by contrast, originally comes from present day Luxembourg and England, where they eventually migrated from in the late nineteenth century. Growing up part of a family of seven siblings, Nicholas would be born to a father employed as a mechanical design engineer and a mother who earned her living as a nurse. He settled for a time in Arizona, Texas, Kansas City and a place called Reston in Virginia. Nicholas has worked in prominent roles at businesses across the air travel industry — the majority of them major brands. He became a vice president with airlines like Hughes Airwest, Trans World Airlines (TWA), and Republic Airlines respectively. Most notable, even considering this, was his role as an inspired programmer working with the airline industry.

He is probably most acclaimed for the airplane maintenance program he invented on behalf of US Airways, which eventually became an industry standard. He turned his focus next to recording and taking reservations. For both air travel and hotels he pioneered software to offset much of the work necessary prior to this approach. Following that came QuikTix, an online, networked approach to selling tickets which stands as a first. He leveraged these achievements to move into capacities less connected to software development. Key roles with American Express and American Airlines followed, and in the biggest move of all he started up a firm of his own in the early nineties. Today he has departed from his airline connections and the software development industry, though rest assured he’s still making best use of his talent.
