IBM Report Finds Web Insecure

Attackers are also wiser. The X-Force report noted that the level of Web manipulations particularly PDF files, has increased. PDF vulnerabilities that were disclosed during the first half of the year surpassed those that are reported during the previous year.

X-Force Director Kris Lamb remarks that the trends show that the Internet is now like the Wild West where you can’t trust anyone. Safe browsing is just a concept and not a reality as malware can be derived not only from red light district websites. It has reached a point where every site should be considered suspicious and users are always at risk.
